What the Golf? (and more)

Game Launches on Arcade

// Client: ApPle SPECIFICALLY: APPLE ARCADE //

Platforms live and dies by the games in their library. This is especially true when launching a brand new service, like Apple Arcade.
So we developed custom promos for specific games on the platform to get players excited to check out the greatest hits or a hot new release, like these:

What the Golf?

What the Golf? is a game that only seems to be about golf, designed by people who actually hate golf.
So we asked ourselves: what would a What the Golf broadcast look like?

Crossy Road Castle

Crossy Road Castle is the spiritual sequel to the beloved Crossy Road franchise - but instead of running across a road, players team up and climb an endless tower. To get the word out, we answered an age old question: Why did the chicken cross the road?

“Playable” Twitter Towers: In addition to our launch film, we created an explorable castle by hijacking Twitter’s threaded tweet functionality. Click here to start at the bottom and climb your way to the top through 50 unique levels of Crossy Road Castle gameplay. Or check out the somewhat grainy gif below. (apologies for the poor quality.)

SpongeBob: Patty Pursuit

Games based on existing IP don’t tend to be great - just look at the E. T. game from the 1980s, or Superman 64). This one was no exception.
But people love Spongebob, and when you get to write stupid jokes about Patrick Star being stupid, you take the win.

Special Shoutouts:
Chris Trumbull, Kevin Tenglin, Luke Harris, Julia Markiewicz, Aramis Israel, Nick Finney, Daniel Shaw, Caleb Owens, Nyki Bell and the folks at Buck, Caviar and Old Skull Games
